First of all the service is just simply amazing. Mardi told me how much it was, when exactly it would ship and even a tracking number via email, also Mardi answered all the questions I asked. Second, When I opened the box to see the axle I was suprised to see a little care package that came with a cool little pocket knife and some stuff about raxles also a prepaid ups label which also makes me happy. The axle by the looks of it looks better than the oem cv axle although I can really see the joints so ill go by mardi's word :-). What really amazed me was the fact that it came with a new axle nut and cotter pin. Ive replaced cv axles for other people and never once have I recieved a axle nut/cotter pin with a new axle. Raxles is top notch!!!!!!!

Honda Civic CV Axles Installation

Details:
1 1/4" socket fits the 32mm spindle nut: torque to 134 lb-ft.
Ball joint nut: torque 36 to 43 lb-ft.
Damper pinch bolt: torque to 32 lb-ft.
Damper fork nut (12mm): replace with new self locking nut (Honda part number 90215-SB0-003) and torque to 47 lb-ft.
The torque specifications are from the Honda factory service manual. Transaxle:
Use new washers on fill and drain plugs.
Manual transaxle fill plug torque: 33 lb-ft
Manual transaxle drain plug torque: 29 lb-ft

I reused the outer hub seals. (it would be nice if new seals were included on the new axles….)

Big screwdriver snaps the inner joints out of the transaxle. Getting the new ones to snap back in is wrestling match.
Remember to use grease on forks of ball joint tool to avoid damage to boot.
Ball joint taper should NOT have grease on it when reassembling.
Remember to refill transaxle with lube.
